**About **T**he **R**ole**:
The PMO Director will be responsible for a variety of different areas. Their goal is to develop a PMO operating model, then drive delivery execution using capabilities around methods and tools, training, and resource management across the portfolio. They will be responsible for establishing leading practice project management methodology and integrated toolset to drive standardization, repeatable processes, and consistent behaviours across all program and project managers. This person will establish standardization and repeatable processes by developing a PM operating model to determine how to staff each type of project, depending on complexity, size, and duration. The PMO Director will also be responsible for defining and deploying training for all program and project managers to align on methodology and operating model. The Director, PMO will work closely with the Program Managers on demand management and staffing, making recommendations on Project Management assignments. They will also assist in strengthening the partnerships with cross functional teams such as implementation, development, data, product, training, and other Thentia teams.

**Responsibilities**
- Design, develop and manage the program/project operating model and PMO organization structure, and for the development and delivery of PMO roadmap.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance across the PMO with a customer focused ethos and relentless passion to deliver customer projects on time, and with high quality outcomes that meet customer needs and commitments.
- Oversee the coordination and delivery of program plans and deliverables and the management of milestones.
- Develop and drive adoption of program/project management best practices, methodologies, and standards that will improve productivity, investment decision making and realize targeted business outcomes.
- Develop and leverage executive and team related dashboards, reports, and other communications to convey project health and status, road-blockers, successes, and risk across the project portfolio.
- Define and ensure use of standard methodologies, processes, PPM tools and reporting metrics (KPIs).
- Track portfolio related status, issues, risks, and dependencies.
- Pursue issue and risk resolution and communicates status and escalations to business stakeholders and operational management.
- Provide leadership the recommended resolution and/or escalation of issues that may impact project scope, schedule, or budget.
- Manage the change control functions of the PMO portfolio.
- Manage the intake and demand management function and maintains the capital and expense budgets across the program portfolio.
- Track, monitor and manage resource and capacity management conflicts and demands.
- Build a team including hiring and nurturing a team of high performing, customer focused and delivery focused project management professionals.

**Qualifications**
- 15+ years of experience in program, project, and portfolio management in software or technology services-based businesses.
- 10+ years of experience with the functions within program and portfolio management, employing delivery methodologies and tools.
- Experience with:
- Project, Program, and Portfolio leadership experience.
- Program manager experience or people manager experience (with direct reports)
- Portfolio, capacity management experience.
- Experience managing global initiatives.
- Experience driving change management initiatives across an organization.
- Strong influence management skills: ability to work cooperatively at all levels to build and maintain the positive collaborative relationships required to accomplish organizational goals.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness; ability to communicate to various levels of management and employees succinctly and accurately.
