**Superintendent - Concrete Construction**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The Superintendent will lead, direct and coordinate all concrete construction work to ensure the successful delivery of our projects. This leadership position is responsible for the day to day management of the construction sites, executing field operations safely and adhering to company policies and procedures. Our Superintendents are also responsible for managing and developing our construction teams.

**Position Requirements**:

- A minimum of 10 years concrete/formwork experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory role or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Significant expertise in structural concrete & formwork
- Strong knowledge of applicable standards, means and methods of construction
- Ability to accurately read and comprehend blueprints and other technical drawings
- Valid Class 5 driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean drivers’ abstract

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Manage all concrete construction activities on a daily basis and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, construction documents, construction plan, schedule and finances
- Assist management in the develop of construction plan and provide support for procurement of all required equipment and materials
- Provide technical direction to work crews as needed; ensure work is performed to applicable QA/QC standards and according to drawings and specifications
- Manage productivity issues and monitor work performance of employees and subcontractors; promote an atmosphere that allows less experienced workers to grow
- Report construction progress and advise Management of potential problems, work interference or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts
- Inspecting concrete after the formwork and shoring have been removed and instructing concrete laborers on how to correct defects and concrete deficiencies

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
