ProSource is seeking a highly motivated and results driven Assistant Branch manager to ensure an exceptional customer experience from start to finish in our West Kelowna branch

Reporting to, and working alongside the Branch Manager, you will help lead the customer engagement process in the branch as you strive to increase the number of new sales across all product categories.

**Operational Responsibilities**

**Leadership**
- Working shoulder to shoulder with the team, oversees counter sales, inventory functions and sales initiatives within the branch
- Direct all operational aspects of the branch including receiving, shipping, customer service, administration and sales
- Be a valuable contributor to the direction of the business by participating in management meetings
- Actively contribute to your further development as a leader at ProSource by participating in the development program
- Model the ProSource Mindsets & Behaviors

**Sales**:

- Ensure all customers leave satisfied with their experience at ProSource
- Build and develop customer relationships
- Strive to achieve sales targets and grow branch revenue
- Effective use of NetSuite CRM tools
- Identify opportunities and work with Interior Sales Representative and Director of Sales on best practice and follow up approaches
- Work with Interior Sales Representative and Director of Sales to establish pricing for new accounts in a manner that optimizes margin and builds customer loyalty

**Inventory Management**
- Work with the Centralized Purchaser to ensure order accuracy and receiving inventory in an effective manner
- Target zero stock-outs by developing a clear, consistent and documented ordering process and by ensuring inventory min/max and other relevant details are accurate and current at all times
- Lead the training of staff to ensure processes are followed
- Manages or oversees the coordination and organized execution of all inbound, outbound, special customer and inter-branch orders/transfers
- Leads a proactive cycle count process designed to keep inventory accurate and to keep adjustments minimized
- Finds ways to minimize and/or sell aged inventory using creative strategies

**HR Management**
- Creates an incredible team environment built on a foundation of trust, openness, communication, hard work and customer service, following the guidelines set out in ProSource’s stated mission, values, culture and other training materials
- Creates the schedule of all employees at the branch to manage vacation, sick days and all other coverage required to fulfill an exceptional Customer Service experience while also managing an effective balance between wage costs and revenues generated in branch
- A key participant and leader (alongside Branch Manager) of annual reviews, and disciplinary issues associated with staff that report to you

**Priority Management, Cleanliness and Organization**
- Maintains a clean and organized working environment in the office, at the counter, in the bathroom, in the yard, and in the warehouse(s)
- Assigns and supports the successful completion of tasks and initiatives to staff and ensures staff are keeping productive at all times

**Communication**:

- Effectively and consistently communicate company initiatives and goals internally
- Proactively communicate all meaningful customer, employee and supplier issues to the Branch Manager on a timely basis
- Manage and complete priorities as required and communicate with the Branch Manager when necessary in an effective, calm and organized manner

**Operational Improvements**:

- Continually identify and implement process improvements that enhance the business’ efficiency, especially in the areas of inventory management, purchasing/receiving, controls, customer service, and the sales processes
