Skill Requirements:
**Education**:
Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.):
Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

**Experience**:
2 years to less than 3 years

Languages:
Speak English, Read English, Write English

Type of Trucking and Equipment:
Tractor-trailer, Flatbed

Type of Travel:
Short-haul, Local, some overnight trips, Weekend delivery schedule

Documentation Knowledge:
Electronic Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Electronic Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience:
Cellular phone, Satellite communication system

Weight Handling:
More than 45 kg (100 lbs.)

Specific Skills:
Loading and unloading of goods, Pay and receive payments for goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance

Additional Skills:
Professionalism in customer service, Handle inquiries from customers

Security and Safety:
Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, and Drug test

Own Tools/Equipment:
Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Physically demanding

Transportation/Travel Information:
Own transportation, Valid driver's licence

Essential Skills:
Reading text, Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning

Other:
