This role will be overall lead for all aspects related to Quality Management, Health, Safety, and environment for the E-Mobility business in Canada. Lead implementation and ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 certification for our Quality Management System. Monitor and maintain the QMS through audits to ensure maintaining these certifications. Lead implementation of performance improvement programs and practices to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment and sustainability throughout all sites. Ensure that the respective organization operates in alignment with ABB Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards and policies. Coach, support and provide advice to leadership and line managers on QMS and HSE matters and report on the performances of the respective organization along ABB’s value chain.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Metrics: Ensures timely notification of HSE incidents, investigations, preventive and corrective actions and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the leadership team.
- Regulatory compliance: Approves and coordinates audit and self-assessment programs.
- Risk management: Contributes to effective risk management of HSE related issues by providing specialist knowledge and advice on key business decisions to the leadership team.
- Project management: Contributes to and/or plans and executes HSE related projects. Develops and reports on project objectives. Manages project resources such as manpower, financials, and other relevant factors. Provide support to successfully implement ISO-9001, 14001 & 45001 certifications.
- Training and competence: Develop and implement an ABB Way HSE training matrix and profile for all job functions. Monitor completion of HSE training.
- Communication and engagement: Engage internal stakeholders to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on ABB’s HSE efforts and performance; obtain objective feedback.
- Budget: Participates in defining the annual budget for area of responsibility and is accountable for managing performance against agreed financial targets and constraints.
- Contractor Management: Provide safety orientation and training to contractors prior to work being performed.

**Your background**:

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences and (or equivalent) minimum of 8 years’ experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position supporting, multiple business units - previous manufacturing industry a plus
- Knowledge: Formal certification and training in Safety and Environmental fields.
- Relevant HSE experience, over 4 years in HSE management systems.
- Preferred - Relevant Quality Management System (QMS) experience in implementing and maintaining a business wide QMS system
- Knowledge: understanding/experience with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001
- Experienced auditor
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, influencing, and communication skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans with successful measurable outcomes.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong written and spoken English communication skills, as well as relationship-building skills.
- Skills: Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
