You’ll work hands-on as part of multidisciplinary teams whose members have complementary expertise in the industrial sectors of digital technologies, network and telecommunication infrastructures, programming and integration of automation systems, instrumentation and controls, and digital power systems.

Assess the cybersecurity posture of ICS and physical security to identify vulnerabilities and recommend risk reduction strategies and to implement measures and controls to manage risk, cyber assets and resilience.
Objectively research, evaluate and recommend technological solutions available on the market that meet client needs.
Help establish close relationships with clients to support and guide them in their decision-making process to improve the level of maturity and governance of their cybersecurity and critical infrastructure while reducing their exposure to risks that could disrupt their operations.
Work in BBA in-house labs (industrial cybersecurity, digital power systems, automation, networking and telecommunications, etc.) to support client projects and internal development. These state-of-the-art labs provide opportunities to develop expertise in the systems and technological solutions that our industry and energy clients use.
Work with clients and various stakeholders on projects to prepare deliverables that meet BBA and client standards.

Certifications and job requirements at a glance

Undergraduate degree in cybersecurity, electrical engineering, electromechanical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, mechatronics engineering, automated production engineering, robotics engineering, computer science, networking, telecommunications or a related field
Three to seven years of relevant experience in applied OT in the industrial sector
Excellent communication skills and strong proficiency in English and French (spoken and written)
Knowledge of standards and best practices in OT and ICS cybersecurity
Experience with ICS such as programmable logic controllers, distributed control systems, human-machine interfaces, intelligent electronic devices (IED), remote terminals, motor control systems, variable frequency drives and SCADA systems
Experience with various industrial network architectures and industrial communication protocols governing routing protocols, serial protocols and protocol ownership

Preferred but not essential assets

IP network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls and communication gateways
Virtual environments and cloud platforms
Cybersecurity technology tools used for vulnerability assessment, software and hardware configuration, protection of programmable electronic devices, threat and intrusion monitoring, management of security patches, management of identity and physical and logical access, change management, cyber asset management, remote interactive access management, backup and recovery solutions, network segmentation, physical security and video surveillance
Security operations centres (SOCs), incident analysis, cyber-incident response, resilience and business continuity planning
Understanding of security features for Windows operating systems (MSE, MBSA, Active Directory, WSUS, SCCM, PowerShell, etc.) and Linux, as well as specialized cybersecurity software (NMAP, Wireshark, PCAP, etc.) and tools (IT/OT)
