- Founded in 1899, St. Andrew's College (SAC) is an independent, all-boys university preparatory school for Grades 5-12. Located 40 minutes north of Toronto, SAC's 126-acre campus is home to a mix of 650 boarding and day students from 25 countries. Responsibilities will include:
- Build rapport with students in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Support the delivery of the boarding curriculum.
- Mentor and supervise students during on
- and off-campus activities.
- Accompany students to evening appointments or, in emergencies, to access external healthcare.
- Provide academic support to Upper School students, including homework and test preparation.
- Assist with classroom support and coverage as needed.
- Participate in a rotating evening and weekend schedule (4 nights/week, 4 p.m. to midnight).
- Lead or assist with weekend programming trips.
Key qualifications:
- Post-secondary education required; enrolment in or completion of a Bachelor of Education is preferred.
- Experience in a boarding school or overnight camp setting is an asset.
- Ability to contribute to co-curricular life, including athletics or clubs.
- Mental Health First Aid training is an asset.
- Coaching experience is considered an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
