Lululemon global logistics ships to and from over 50 countries utilizing modes of transportation like air, land and sea. Whether it’s a strategic sales shipment to the European Union, an urgent shipment to the Olympics, product for a Yoga Conference in Japan, moving a mobile store for the Marketing department, or transporting purchase orders from our factories to our global distribution centers, the on-time performance and economics of the Global Logistics department is essential to the success of our brand. Global Logistics is unique and exciting Our shipments are changing hands and moving across the globe 24x7 **a day in the life**: what you’ll do - The Planning Specialist is focused on creating/designing weekly On Time Delivery Performance presentation of all inbound goods into our global DCs, and leading/supporting key initiatives and communications with internal and external partners. Partners include but are not limited to: Merchants, planning, allocations, sourcing, DC’s, logistics service providers. - Responsible for reporting Inbound performance through dashboards and reporting provided by internal and external partners - Work closely with MP&A, as well as other internal and external stakeholders, to assure the On-Time Performance of inbound receipts - Support origin and destination optimization opportunities within assigned responsibilities - Lead relationships with Merchants, sourcing, LLO, planning and allocations - Support internal sourcing strategy and optimization opportunities - Responsible for gathering global market intel from key internal and external logistic partners - Strategize and support the Inbound Planning process to assure On-Time Performance success - Support key inbound strategic planning, risk and communication activities w/key inbound peers globally - Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners on regular cadence to support key initiatives and roadmaps - Collaborate with NA IB team members daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually on LSP management - Collaborate with global logistics internal and external network on business continuity and change management, etc. - Collaborate with global logistics internal and external network on business continuity and change management, etc. qualifications - 5+ years working experience within a logistics department (ideally in a retail environment) or logistics service provider - An understanding and practical knowledge of retail environment, transportation, and DC operations - Ability to think "outside the box" and thrive in a fast-paced environment - Clear communications skills - An understanding and practical knowledge of the retail environment, and international and domestic transportation - Familiarity w/ world geography, Customs & trade compliance, tariffs, NAFTA and other Trade partnerships, Incoterms, and financial terms. - Ability to work in teams and individually - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong organizational skills are required in this position - Multiple tasking and ability to coordinate and prioritize - Embrace and demonstrate the lululemon vision, culture, and lifestyle - Experience in the inbound logistics department of a major retailer is a plus. must haves - Acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for your life. - Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results. - Communicate with honesty and kindness and create the space for others to do the same. - Lead with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure. - Foster connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships. - Integrate fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka doesn’t take yourself too seriously.
