Savanna Drilling Canada is searching for a **Shop Hand** to join our team. As a Shop Hand at Savanna, you will be under the direction of the Technical Services Manager, assist with maintaining the shop and yard at specified location and keeping area in a clean and organized manner at all times. This position is based out of our Leduc, AB office.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a clean shop facility area, using domestic cleaning solutions (including cleaning of all equipment and general work areas);
- Carry out maintenance and safety checks of the company’s powered mobile equipment and vehicles;
- Responsible for all yard work, such as organizing the pipe storage area and setting out supplies for the rigs and shop;
- Pick up/deliver general supplies using company vehicle;
- Assist with moving of equipment on rig moves when needed;
- Ensure Safety equipment such as SCBA, Fire Extinguishers, etc. are certified and restocked in the shop for future use;
- Transport employees as needed;
- Additional duties as assigned supervisor.

**Qualifications and Required Skills**:

- Operate forklifts and Kubota as well as power tools;
- Operate appropriate equipment for lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying, handling or transporting heavy or awkward loads;
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment;
- Perform all work following work instructions and/or safe operating procedures;
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
- Effective organization and time management skills; detail oriented with excellent follow up abilities;
- Decision making skills, ability to trouble shoot and problem solve. Ability to assess a situation and find a reasonable answer;
- Self starter who enjoys responsibility and accountability;
- Must have the ability to work occasionally overtime or weekends as required.
