**Adult Community Inclusion Support Worker - Duncan BC**

**Starting Wage**: $20.30 per hour

**Position Type**: Part Time (30 hours)

**Schedule**: Monday - Friday

Being a part of a community is an integral part of living a balanced life. Bonaventure's Inclusion support is tailored to meet the individual's needs and assist in reaching their goals. We partner with individuals, families, and caregivers to create a customized personal support plan.

As a Community Inclusion Support Worker, you will follow the direction of the Program Manager, and function as part of a team to help provide avenues to make friends, find activities, new opportunities, and meaningful contributions and full participation in community. The Community Inclusion Worker establishes and maintains a warm and personal relationship with each person supported and encourages the natural supports and active involvement of family members, friends, and neighbors in each person's life.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist individuals with the activities of daily living involving their personal and health care, behavioural, nutritional, recreational, social, vocational, educational, and environmental needs as identified in their person-centered plans (PCP)
- Provide support and advocate choice, while assisting individuals in their physical, social, emotional, recreational, economic, educational, and vocational life skill development.
- Adhere to any relevant Legislation and Regulations (_Motor Vehicle Act, CLBC, MCFD, CARF, WorkSafe-BC, Employment Standards_).
- Work in collaboration with MCFD, CLBC, VIHA, DDMHT, HSCL, Behavior Consultants, etc. and the Bonaventure Leadership team.
- Uphold the Policies and Procedures of Bonaventure Support Services while modelling our Mission Statement, Values and Code of Ethics.
- Demonstrate of a high degree of tolerance and respect for a supported individual's unique personality and challenges, while promoting one's dignity and rights.
- Perform all duties in a safe, efficient manner upholding the health and safety requirements of the program and report any health or safety concerns.
- To support and promote a friendly and effective working relationship with family and team

The qualified applicant will be able to provide the following:

- Must be 19+ years of age
- Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License
- Personal Vehicle Required
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination or exemption
- RCMP Criminal Record Check - Employer will file
- Criminal Records Review Act Schedule A -Employer will file
- Current approved First Aid Certificate including CPR
- Physicians Declaration
- Current and Clear TB Screen
- Education and/or experience working with vulnerable adults, or people with challenging behaviours. (CYC, CSW, SW, SIVA, etc.)
