Requisition ID: 155029 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **Global Wealth Management Operations** This position is hybrid and will require working from Toronto downtown office 1-2 days per week. **Purpose** The Manager, Business Initiatives, Global Wealth Management Operations (GWMO), will help drive and support the execution of GWMO’s strategic goals and priorities. The GWMO team is a core group of professionals responsible for providing day-to-day operational support and project delivery and execution to business lines within Global Wealth Management. The Manager, Business Initiatives, GWMO, will work closely with a diverse set of stakeholders to help execute on business strategy, manage cross-functional projects, and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely reporting. **Accountabilities** - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance culture and contributes to an inclusive work environment. - Lead and support the delivery and execution of GWM Operations strategic goals and priorities; create roadmaps, initiate workstreams, identify required resources, escalate critical issues, and track program progress. - Develop close working relationships with stakeholders across GWM Operations, GWM and other businesses across the Bank to help drive and support the execution of strategic projects and initiatives. - Lead and coordinate GWM and GWM Operations reporting deliverables by liaising with leadership and data owners from various business lines and functional groups. - Support the production of all executive leadership requests (i.e. townhalls, commentary, updates) to ensure timely, accurate and relevant delivery. - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. **Education / Experience** - 2 to 4 years of work experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Corporate Development, Management Consulting, Corporate Finance or Corporate Strategy - Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics or Science - Proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong quantitative skills focused on financial and data analysis - A high level of attention to detail - The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work - The ability to excel under pressure amid demanding deadlines - The ability to perform effectively in a team environment - High professional standards including a strong sense of personal integrity and teamwork - Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new situations - A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts - Independent thinker and proven ability to make decisions Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
