**Description**

Barber Collins security is looking for two full time Security Guard to work in St. Jacob's.

One guard will have the responsibility of conducting the employee entrance and one guard will be signing in and out trucks of the truck entrance.

**Please read the two different positions carefully below. Access to a personal vehicle will be mandatory for both of these position.**

**Position 1**:
**Shifts**

Monday to Friday 2 pm - 10 pm (40 hours per week)

The guard will be responsible for the truck entrance.

In addition to the responsibilities and skills below, the guard will also be responsible for:

- Signing in/out trucks, contractors and employees using the computer system that is established.
- Monitoring CCTV cameras, etc.

**Position 2**:
**Shifts **(based off of a mandatory two week rotation):
**Week 1 (53 hours)**: Friday to Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 6 pm - 6 am

**Week 2 (31 hours)**: Monday and Tuesday 6 pm - 6 am

The guard will be responsible for the employee entrance.

In addition to the responsibilities and skills below, the guard will also be responsible for:

- Signing in/out employees using the computer system that is established.
- Will also be asked to conduct regular foot patrols as required.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, etc.

**Responsibilities**:

- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

**Skills**:

- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.50-$17.75 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
