Calgary, Canada NurtureCare Early Learning Centre Full time

NutureCare ELC is looking for Day Care Program Director for MacLeod Trail, Calgary location.

Key skills we are looking for are knowledge of licensing regulations, staff management, understanding of financial budgeting, and strong communication for dealing with parents and compliance agencies.

**Key Requirements and Qualifications**
- **Education**: A Bachelor’s degree in ECE, child development, or a related field is typically preferred or required.
- **Certification/Licensure**: An ECE Level 3 Certification (Child Development Supervisor) is required. Valid First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Asst. Director, and 1 year as a Director.
- **Regulatory Knowledge**: Deep understanding of local, provincial, or state licensing regulations, such as the Child Care Licensing Act, WCB in Alberta.
- Background Checks: Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search is necessary.

**Core Responsibilities and Skills**
- **Leadership & Management**: Supervising staff, conducting performance evaluations, hiring, and mentoring employees.
- **Operations & Finance**: Managing daily operations, budgeting, enrollment, and billing.
- **Compliance**: Ensuring health and safety standards are met, maintaining records for inspections, and acting as a liaison with government officials.
- **Communication**: Interacting effectively with parents, staff, and community partners.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 40 lbs. Must to be able to work with kids in classroom when needed.

Pay: $46,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
