Tile Installer

Complete layout as per drawings and follow blueprints precisely to mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to start the project.
- Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles in tight corners and off spaces using power and hand held tools. Experience with tools.
- Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels, and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise.
- Cut, install, and polish surface granite and marble to ensure high accuracy in the installation process for lasting results.
- Ability to work well with others, follow instructions, and speak professionally.
- Demonstrate and maintain positive attitude at work and willingness to learn.
- Prepare various surfaces for tiling and waterproofing material, or lath. Clean tile surfaces and maintain clean tile working surfaces.
- Check products prior to Installation. Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break, or damage the tiles.
- Install dimensional stone/ tile on walls using thin set and/ or mechanical anchors.
- Install various accessories, such as edge strips, thresholds, and the door casings.
- Assemble decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles in residential kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms. Grout and seal final products.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, marble, and mosaic. Experience in tile demolition and/ or experience using these tools is considered an asset.
- Experience in residential and commercial tiling experience is considered an asset.
- Class G drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle is a requirement for the job

Salary will range between $30 and $45 per hour, depending on the experience (plus bonus pay).
