Daycare Cook

**Job Description/Responsibilities of the Cook**:

- Prepare according to the menu.
- Ensure proper food storage and rotation procedures are followed.
- Prepare the daily snack and meals ensuring food restrictions are not served foods with contaminates.
- Check the food temperatures, deliver food to the classrooms, collect all dishes after lunch/ snack, wash and disinfect the dishes, serve the PM snack.
- Clean and sanitize dishes after use and ensure they are put away in an appropriate space.
- Ensure the kitchen equipment and appliances are thoroughly cleaned on a daily, monthly and seasonal basis.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Food Handling Certificate.
- Experienced working in a daycare setting.
- Experienced working as a cook is an asset.
- Experience preparing meals and snacks in a daycare setting is an asset.

**Must have**:

- Criminal/Vulnerable sector check
- Up to date Immunization Record including the TB Test
- Valid First Aid and CPR C
