Front Desk Concierge/receptionist

Royal Vancouver Yacht Club is looking for a Part-Time Front Desk Concierge to join our team for the **Weekday Evening Shift: Monday - Thursday (4:00PM - 9:00PM). **May be required to work other shifts for coverage when required.

Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (RVYC) is oneof the world's premier yacht clubs. Our mission is to promote yachting, seamanship, and fellowship among current members and those who share our values of tradition, sportsmanship, and community service, among many others. Our philosophy at RVYC is to provide excellent Member & Guest services in all that we do.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Answer a multi-line telephone system, direct the calls appropriately, receive and relay messages, communicate general information, assist with website troubleshooting and booking reservations.
- Open the office and lobby of the club on Saturday’s and Sunday's.
- Greet members of the club, their guests, and staff in a professional and warm manner
- General administrative duties to assist various departments of the club including Sailing (Regatta & Race Management), Food & Beverage (Seating charts, menu's, reservations)
- Learn about the club, its members, the traditions and programs in order to provide the information about upcoming events and dates
- Form part of the retail team responsible for selling merchandise and updating displays.
- Maintain the club filing system and assist with transition to paperless work environment
- Organize and manage lost and found system and member packages
- Assist and organize outgoing and incoming letters and correspondence to reciprocal clubs and act as a liaison between RVYC and other international yacht clubs
**Requirements & Qualifications**:
- Must be available for weekend & holiday coverage.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Office 365; Adobe Suite is a bonus
- Friendly and able to build and maintain good relationships with our members and staff.
- Positive, team player who is able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Multi-tasker that is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage conflicting priorities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Previous experience in the hospitality or private club (Jonas system) is preferred.
