JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a talented Accounting Technician to join our Montreal team. This person will be a key teammate in our Finance team and will provide support to some of our fundamental accounting/finance processes. We are seeking someone who is very motivated and looking for career growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Prepare tax returns
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance
- Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Continuing to improve the payment process
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports

WHO YOU ARE
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Accounting degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
- Strong sense of initiative and resourcefulness
- Autonomy, attention to detail and rigor
- A fun person
