**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The Driver Recruiter reports into the Senior Driver Manager and is responsible to facilitate all initiatives with respect to Driver Recruitment at CPX. The Driver Recruiter will employ various strategic and creative strategies to attract qualified Drivers in a competitive market. The incumbent will engage in all aspects of recruitment from sourcing through to onboarding and retention. This role is of critical importance to the success of the Driver Department. This position requires full cycle recruitment experience, industry experience and strong business acumen.

Reporting into the Senior Driver Manager, your responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

- Understand the qualifications and requirements of the different job driver job categories and devise a recruitment strategy that will attract drivers within those specific pools
- Build connections in the community with third party resources and contacts that will help attract Drivers to CPX in a competitive market
- Research and collaborate with third party organizations to source potential new drivers
- Identify, source, and recruit qualified Class A Drivers for various driver positions including Company Drivers, Owner Operators, and Company Drivers
- Creation and posting of job advertisements across appropriate job boards and social media platforms
- Regularly review and update the advertisement platforms, based on current industry trends
- Create a positive and welcoming onboarding experience for all new drivers joining CPX
- Develop a thorough understanding of the various lanes and requirements for each Driver category
- Facilitate and schedule drug testing, road testing, and online training for new drivers
- Establish positive relationships with all drivers to create high engagement and increase driver retention
- Strategize and collaborate with other departments to understand driver headcount requirements and to improve the recruitment process
- Work collaboratively with teammates and other departments to understand driver needs and requirements
- Research and collaborate with third party organizations to source potential new drivers
- Prepare tracking spreadsheets, reports and presentations in order to share results and monitor ongoing progress
- Ensure compliance with all federal/provincial laws and regulations
- Assist with ad hoc projects as required

**ABOUT YOU**:

- 2-3 years’ experience of full cycle recruitment experience required
- 5-7 years’ experience within Transportation industry required
- Creative, out of the box thinker, with a can-do attitude
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, with ability to learn and use a variety of online channels for recruitment purposes
- Proactive, friendly, and hands on individual. A self-starter with a growth mindset
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment
- Ability to work well with different personalities, a positive team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
