**Employment Opportunity**

**Summer Student Positions - Public Works (2-Full-time) & Recreation (1-Part-time)**

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Municipal Management Team, these positions will assist in a variety of operational tasks supporting the maintenance and upkeep of municipal infrastructure. Responsibilities will include:

- General infrastructure/property maintenance and landscaping on municipally owned property
- Support for road construction projects
- Facility janitorial duties at the Deseronto Community Centre
- Various other maintenance-related duties, as assigned

**Position Requirements**:

- Be available to start by **May 5, 2025** and returning/going to post-secondary education in September 2025
- Possess strong personal and customer service skills
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Have experience with maintenance equipment and tasks (e.g. painting, janitorial duties, operating zero-turn mowers, gas-powered weed eaters, and general property maintenance tools)
- Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, a strong work ethic, and keen attention to detail
- Hold a valid minimum **Class G2 Driver’s Licence**:

- Be flexible and available to work weekdays for the Public Works positions and the occasional weekend or evening and weeknights and weekends for the Recreation position.

**Position Details**:

- **Employment Period**: May 5, 2025 - August 29, 2025 (maximum)
- **Compensation**: $17.20 per hour plus vacation pay
