The Opportunity
Reporting to and under the general direction of the Engineering Manager, the Technical Writer is responsible for the development and maintenance of internal and customer-facing documentation. In this role, you will develop owner’s manuals and service manuals for consumer packaged goods to communicate product functionality to a variety of audiences. You will be encouraged to be creative and innovative with the goal of creating a positive user experience. You will also support in the documentation of internal processes for the Engineering department.

**In this role you will**:

- Create user manuals and service manuals
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements
- Working with third-party translations
- Document organizational processes for Engineering
- Support Customer Service with technical inquiries
- Support Marketing to ensure accurate descriptions of products
- Communicate with team members and other stakeholders to gather required information
- Be an effective technical resource center for the business
- Support engineering department in other administrative duties

What You Need
- Experience in a writing role (technical writing, copywriting, journalism)
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as a team player
- Excellent time management skills to work on tight deadlines
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
- Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences
- Be open to exploring new ideas with a desire for continuous growth and learning
- Customer focused mentality
- University degree
- Experience with Indesign, Illustrator, Solidworks, Solidworks Composer preferred
- Bilingualism an asset (French/ Spanish)
