- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year

- ** Tasks**:

- Disinfect, reconstruct and redevelop older contaminated wells and water pumping systems
- Drill, bore and dig for water wells
- Install and test piping systems
- Install and test water well pumps, piping systems and equipment
- Instruct apprentices
- Maintain and repair piping systems
- Maintain and repair water well pumps, piping systems and equipment
- Put screens and pumps in place to develop the well
- Install well screens, casings and other well fixtures
- Perform routine maintenance work on water well drilling rigs and equipment
- Perform pumping tests to assess well performance
- Drill elevator shafts
- Drill hydro poles
- Review client requirements and proposed locations for water wells
