**Job Summary**:
Bay Ferries and Northumberland Ferries are seeking a Learning & Compliance Coordinator to support training compliance, onboarding, and competency management in a regulated, safety-sensitive marine environment. This role ensures accurate training records, LMS administration, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across vessel and shore-based operations.
The Learning & Compliance Coordinator works closely with Learning & Development, Human Resources (People & Culture), Operations, and Safety teams to ensure mandatory training requirements are tracked, scheduled, and documented in accordance with Transport Canada, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), and internal compliance standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain training records, certifications, and competency documentation.
- Track training completions, expiries, recurrency, and compliance gaps.
- Generate training reports, compliance reports, and audit documentation using an LMS and tracking tools.
- Support audit readiness for Transport Canada, OHS, and internal audits.
- Coordinate onboarding, safety orientations, and job-specific training.
- Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including enrollments, exam tracking, and user support.
- Schedule mandatory safety, marine, operational, and corporate training.
- Coordinate training logistics, including course bookings, travel, accommodations, and notifications.
- Communicate training status to Operations, HR, Payroll, and Safety stakeholders.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- 2-4 years of experience in training coordination, HR administration, compliance coordination, or records management.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Safety, or a related field.
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) and training databases.
- Experience in a regulated, safety-sensitive, transportation, marine, or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong skills in data tracking, reporting, spreadsheets, and documentation management.
