Oakville, Canada Kingdon and Associates Full time

One-on-one in-person tutor required, representing Kingdon and Associates Tutoring Services in Oakville, Ontario for a middle school student with ASD. Must have your own transportation to drive to the student's home afternoons for 1-2 hours Monday-Friday. Tutor must have training and experience in working with children who have ASD. Must have some tutoring or teaching experience. Student will require intensive reading, writing and math support to reteach and review. Creativity and ability to adapt planned tutoring sessions to the student's individual needs and interests is very important. Will include some communication with the school and parents, to ensure that tutoring enhances what is being learned at school and incorporates strategies that are effective for the learner's needs. Must be warm and engaging, able to make learning fun, and direct/motivate students to stay on task. Must have vulnerable persons criminal reference check.

**Summary**

As a Tutor, you will be instrumental in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for the student. Your core skills in tutoring, teaching, ASD strategies and effective communication will enable you to convey complex concepts clearly and motivate this learner. With experience working with children and a background in understanding ASD, you will tailor your approach to meet this student's educational needs. **Responsibilities**
- Develop lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of the student.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Utilize ASD experience to implement effective teaching strategies and techniques.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:
