**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dog Walker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. This position is ideal for individuals who love animals and enjoy spending time outdoors. A reliable insured vehicle and a valid drivers license is a mandatory requirement. Public transit is not an option for this job.

**Duties**
- Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
- Maintain a safe environment for the dogs during walks, being vigilant of potential hazards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dogs' behavior and any concerns that may arise during walks.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their needs promptly.
- Keep accurate records of each dog's walking schedule, preferences, and any special instructions from owners.
- Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain a tidy environment.
- Report any health or behavioral issues observed during walks to the pet owners.

- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly.
- Prompt response time to management and coworkers
- Ability to handle multiple dogs of varying sizes and temperaments safely.
- Ability to handle 2+ 70+ pound dogs at one time.
- Knowledge of dog behavior and basic training techniques is a plus.
- Physical stamina to walk dogs for extended periods in different environments (5-20km of walking is a regular day, average walk speed of 3-5km an hour)
- Reliability and punctuality are essential to ensure consistent service for clients.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week

- Do you have at least 3 week days of availability 8am-3pm? Or are you available both Saturday&Sunday 8:00am-3:00pm?
- Do you personally own an insured reliable vehicle? And do you have a valid class 5 or N drivers license? (Sharing a vehicle with family, and public transit are not options for this job)
- Are you 18 or older? (Mandatory Insurance requirement)
- Are you comfortable getting a criminal record check (at your cost) done after successfully passing our interview process? (Mandatory insurance requirement)
- Can you physically handle 1-3 70+ pound dogs at the same time? We conduct private walks out of clients homes, and only walk dogs from that single house. Some of our clients own 2-3 large dogs, and we walk them all at the same time. Being physically capable of maintaining a safe walk while holding 1-3 large dogs who pull is mandatory.
