We're currently seeking an experienced and motivated **Parts Manager** to lead our parts department at our Kitchener location **(48 Ardelt Avenue, Kitchener).**
**Position Overview**
As the **Parts Department Manager**, you’ll be responsible for leading and growing a high-performing parts team. Your focus will be on maximizing sales, optimizing inventory, improving department operations, and delivering top-tier customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Team Leadership & Customer Service**
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of parts professionals
- Promote a positive, collaborative team environment
- Provide outstanding service to both internal and external customers
- Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally
**Inventory Management & Operations**
- Analyze sales trends and implement inventory strategies
- Maintain accurate inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess stock
- Conduct regular inventory audits and implement process improvements
- Ensure the department meets operational, safety, and financial goals
**Sales & Vendor Relations**
- Drive sales growth through effective customer engagement and parts promotions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Collaborate with the Service Department to coordinate parts requirements
- Monitor and manage department budgets, sales forecasts, and expense tracking
**Process & Business Development**
- Use data and insights to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Participate in company-wide initiatives to support growth and innovation
- Stay current on product knowledge, market trends, and technical developments
**What You Bring**
- Minimum **5 years of parts/inventory management experience** in a heavy-duty truck or equipment setting (required)
- Proven leadership skills with **5+ years in team management**:
- In-depth knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts and inventory control
- Experience using **CDK or similar dealership management systems** (preferred)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (DZ an asset)
