**Catering Coordiantor - Kosher Food Services**

**How you will make an impact**:
Working in collaboration with the Executive Director and Kitchen Manager, this role will provide leadership in the planning, coordination, and execution of events, programs and holiday catering. Some duties will include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for the successful delivery on events while managing event process which may include executing meetings, preparing event details and sourcing external resources if required.
- Collaborate with other all required departments when planning and executing and insure timely completion of all components as per client’s requirements.
- Work with the culinary team and to prepare weekly and monthly menus.
- You will coordinate menu planning meetings with outside catering clients.
- You will be responsible for coordinating non-food supplies required, including but not limited to linens and laundry suppliers, food storage suppliers, staffing, equipment rental companies.
- Keeping financial and administrative records of any changes that may affect the final billing for each event.

**What you'll need to succeed**:

- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in hospitality and/ or event planning.
- Knowledge of Kosher practices and willingness to learn Jewish customs.
- The ability to work well independently on several projects concurrently, and possess excellent communication, organizational and creative thinking skills.
- Focus on maximizing revenue consistent with providing value and exceptional service.
- Software proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, is required; knowledge and experience in social media platforms is an asset.
- Strong initiative and hospitality orientation; Project Management, organizational and prioritizing skills; problem solving and detail oriented.
- Demonstrate flexibility, pleasant persona coupled with sound judgment, discreet and able to maintain confidential information
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Supervise the food service operations, including food preparation and service.
- Uphold open communication with the Executive Director and other staff, as required
- Ability to effectively and efficiently solve customer concerns with the utmost professionalism.
- Understanding of food safety standards, along with relevant certifications.
- Valid driver’s license is and asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35,854.95-$42,147.63 per year
