**Responsibilities**:

- Operate manual lathes efficiently and safely to produce high-quality parts.
- Set up lathes for different jobs, ensuring precision and accuracy in machining.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce components to exact specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on lathe machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the machining process.
- Continuously improve and optimize machining processes for increased efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Adapt and learn new machining techniques and technologies as needed.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary
- Sets up and operates machine on trial to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Manual Lathe Operator with a strong track record of producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and self-learn new processes and technologies.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a machining environment.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 to 5 years previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of lathe machine setup and operation.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
