Warehouse Material Handler

BK Wholesalers is looking to add a hard-working member to our warehouse team. You will contribute to the flow of merchandise processes by organizing stock and maintaining inventory. You are required to operate handling equipment such as a small truck and forklift and comply with all health and safety regulations. AZ/DZ LICENCE NOT REQUIRED.

**General Description of Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Maintain, organize and prioritize inventory stocks for efficient product flow throughout warehouse buildings.
- Move product via straight truck between warehouses as well as short trips to/from the GTA.
- Safely operate power lift equipment; forklift, electronic walkie, pump cart, small tractor.
- Loading and unloading inventory from trucks with lift equipment.
- Checking in inventory into warehouse, cross referencing paper work (BOL, packing slips, labels, etc) ensuring accuracy of quantities, product SKU’s, product quality and defect inspection.
- Keep pick locations cleaned, organized and product timely replenished in the appropriate locations.
- Ensure pallets are properly labelled and stored in the correct locations
- Picking, packing and staging outgoing orders for shipment
- General warehouse cleaning duties (sweeping floors, sorting, cutting down plastic and cardboard)
- Perform daily safety checks, logs and required cleaning & light maintenance of trucks, lift trucks and other power equipment as per company guidelines
- Assist with manual inventory shorting and counts.

**Job Requirements**:

- Valid forklift license
- Comfortable driving straight truck within 2hrs of facility / GTA.
- Adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment with a solutions mindset to issues and challenges
- Results driven with good time management skills and personal accountability.
- Ability to differentiate between colours, patterns and number SKU’s for a variety of products
- Strong ability to multi-task with a high level of organizational skills, problem solving, decision making and written & oral communication
- Demonstrate spatial awareness on the placement of product within the warehouse.
- Safely perform strenuous physical activities, such as; walking, standing, bending, and lifting with the ability to lift up to 60lbs.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy within daily duties.
- Must have solid basic math skills (division, multiplication, addition, subtraction)
- Willingness to learn while providing initiative and contributing ideas on ways to improve efficiencies
- Comply with all health & safety regulations as outlined by management and the Ontario Health & Safety Act.
- Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in both a team environment, as well as individually while displaying a positive attitude.
- AZ License is not a requirement but would be considered and strong asset with the potential for additional compensation.

Applicant must have a valid G Drivers Licence and a Clean Driving Abstract.
