**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement land and water lessons based on the CANSail curriculum that cater to various sailors' skill levels.
- Educate sailors on best practices for safety on and around the water.
- Be a positive role model for young athletes.
- Assess sailors progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation.
- Maintain accurate records of sailors progress through the CANSail checklists.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to provide a seamless and professional experience to sailors and parents of youth athletes.

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Experience in a Sailing camp program, and completion of at least CANSail 4.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Successful completion of the appropriate CANSail Instructing clinic for the level you wish to teach.
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C.
- ROC-M, VHF Marine Radio Operators License.
- PCOC (Pleasure Craft Operators License).
- Sail Canada Coachboat Safety Course.
- Successful Completion of the Sail Canada CANSail FUNdamentals Clinic.
- Previous experience as a Sailing Instructor or Coach will be taken into consideration, however, is not required.

**Available Positions**
- Wetfoot Instructor (Ages 5-8)
- Opti CANSail 1 & 2 Instructor (Ages 8-11)
- C420 CANSail 1 & 2 / 3 & 4 Instructor (Ages 11+)
- Adventure Sail Instructor (Ages 11+)

If you do not currently have all of the required qualifications, and wish to still teach sailing this coming summer, please do not hesitate to apply. We will work with successful applicants to complete any outstanding certifications following the interview process.

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 weeks

Pay: From $720.00 per week
