Summary
Levitt-Safety is looking for a Credit and Collections Analyst to join our team in Oakville. A team player, you will work cohesively with both internal and external customers to accurately process information and manage customer accounts.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to all company-set credit policy and procedures.
- Reviews and releases orders on hold on a timely basis.
- Assign/maintain appropriate credit limits on new or existing customer accounts by reviewing credit scores and performing third-party credit checks to assess creditworthiness.
- Regular follow-up with customers on a proactive basis for outstanding payments on past invoices while maintaining healthy customer business relationships.
- Maintain a high degree of organization and effective time management to track collection efforts with detailed notes and utilize reminders.
- Work internally with customer service, sales, and management to resolve issues relating to disputes and discrepancies and create action plans for higher-risk accounts when necessary.
- Reconcile customer accounts on a regular basis to ensure payments are applied accurately and minimize the amount of past due transactions.
- Responds to written and telephone inquiries in a timely manner.
- Responsible for importing collections aging and outstanding invoice reports on a regular basis and developing new reports and workflows as needed.
- Preparation of month-end dashboard and other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years experience in Credit and Collections in a corporate environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of excel.
- Excellent Analytical skills and knowledge of the Accounts Receivable function.
- Collaborative and able to contribute to a team environment.
- Exceptional communication skills - Proficient in English, French is an advantage.
