**Qualifications**
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal reference check, with no pending charges (within the last six months)
- Up-to-date First Aid and CPR
- Up-to-date Immunization and 2 tiered TB test
- Confident and flexible in working with all age groups (Toddler and Preschool).

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- The primary responsibility of the Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) is to support the RECE in planning and implementing a program and daily activities
- Works cooperatively as a team member, encourages others to do likewise, and consistently maintains a positive attitude.
- Report any issues or concerns that may arise in accordance with proper procedures.
- Supports the direction and participate with children in all planned activities.
- Use well-developed interpersonal, and relationship-building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff, and parents.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the classroom
Maintain documentation, reporting and record keeping
Programming must be child directed, and teacher supported in accordance with YTA’s “How Does Learning Happen” guidelines
Support children within the classrooms emotional, physical, or behavioural problems and help develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills
Maintain attendance, and health and safety checks
Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in CCEYA
Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops
Ability to utilize YTA’s computer system for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
**Compensation Package**:Young Talents Academy offers a valuable compensation package**:
- Base pay for an ECA will be $15.50 depending on experience the rate of pay may change.
- **Focused Training and Development** - YTA focuses on creating a fun and creative environment to inspire our educators to grow and excel. We go above and beyond the average child care centre (i.e., annual in-house Learning conference - paid time off, advancement opportunities with on-the-job training).
- **Staff Recognition and Culture** - We love our employees and make sure to take time to let them know we value and appreciate their efforts and initiative. Examples include Wellness Activities, Smile Appreciation Day (in house employee appreciation), Child Care Worker Appreciation Day, Employment Anniversary Celebrations
**Hours of Work**: Monday - Friday, within the hours of 7 am - 6 pm
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
