Moncton, NB Information Technology Management Full-time - Permanent $79,600 - $116,300 / year
Assumption Life is looking for a qualified IT Operations Manager within the Information Technology department. Reporting to the Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Digital Officer, the role of the IT Operations Manager is to ensure the smooth running of daily IT operations.
He/she must ensure the performance and stability of all production systems while managing infrastructure costs. Stakeholder satisfaction is also part of the manager's priorities.
What you'll do
**Responsibilities**:
- Establish and maintain relationships with other IT leaders to fully understand the needs of the business.
- Ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and respond readily to changing business priorities
- Ensure system performance and service level requirements are met.
- Establish and manage key performance indicators for IT operations
- Ensure compliance with technology standards, governance process and performance measures established by the business to deliver quality IT services
- Provide in-depth technical expertise on tactical and operational initiatives
- Meet IT demand by building a balanced pool of internal and external IT resources to ensure the right resources are available at the right time.
- Lead a team of technical, professional, and managerial staff to successfully deliver on IT service commitments
What you'll need
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in computer science, engineering or information systems, or a minimum of 10 years' experience in the IT industry
- Any IT management certification (e.g., ITIL or Lean IT certification) or relevant work experience will be considered an asset
- Any project management training or certification (e.g., PMP certification or customer service management training), or relevant work experience will be considered an asset
- Experience with 24/7 operations.
- Knowledge of security control guidelines including Control of Information and Related Technology Objectives (COBIT) or ISO 17799.
- Extensive experience in infrastructure and operations management.
- Bilingual - French and English - written and spoken
