**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented **Financial Assistant - OHIP Billing & Finance** to join our administrative team at **Generation Fertility Clinic in Vaughan**. While the primary focus of this role will be managing **MOH OHIP billing submissions**, including consultations, sonograms, andrology, and bloodwork, the role will also involve providing support for various finance-related tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our clinic’s financial processes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**OHIP Billing Management**:
- Import patient schedules from the EMR system (eIVF) and prepare refined spreadsheets for upload into the billing platform (MD Billing).
- Verify all required patient information, including OHIP numbers and demographics, and address any incomplete or missing information.
- Submit billing claims accurately and promptly using MD Billing and monitor the status of claims.
- Investigate and resolve claim rejections, coordinating with MOAs and physicians to minimize delays.
- Conduct regular audits of submission statuses and manage billing for non-OHIP patients, ensuring accurate invoicing and payment collection.
**Finance Support**:
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including revenue summaries and expense tracking.
- Support accounts receivable processes by ensuring patient payments are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Help maintain financial records, including invoice management and payment logs.
- Assist in preparing financial data for budget reviews and forecasting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify and implement process improvements.
**Compliance and Reporting**:
- Stay updated on OHIP billing codes, guidelines, and compliance requirements specific to fertility treatments.
- Generate monthly billing and financial reports for management review.
- Identify recurring issues in billing and financial workflows and recommend solutions for increased efficiency.
**Collaboration**:
- Work closely with MOAs, physicians, and administrative staff to address billing-related questions and discrepancies.
- Communicate with patients regarding billing or payment-related inquiries when needed.
**Technical Skills and Tools**:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data filtering, and advanced formatting.
- Familiarity with EMR systems (eIVF preferred) and billing platforms (MD Billing preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare billing or finance role, preferably in a fertility clinic or similar setting.
- Proficiency in Ontario’s MOH OHIP billing processes and guidelines.
- Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in a fertility clinic environment.
- Familiarity with common OHIP billing codes related to fertility treatments, including consultations, sonograms, andrology, and bloodwork.
- Knowledge of non-OHIP patient billing processes.
- Experience with general finance tasks such as accounts receivable and financial reporting.
