J&D Penner is a pioneer in Manitoba’s paving stone market. Having over 50 years in the industry, we offer clients an abundance of knowledge and expertise in a variety of landscaping options. From paving stone and concrete installation, to retaining walls, to softscaping - J&D Penner does it all. We are now seeking an eager and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Landscaping Supervisor. This would include being that first contact to our landscaping crew, overseeing the execution of various types of landscape construction projects so that they are installed within a given time and budget, and most importantly ensuring workmanship is to our standards for customer satisfaction, while maintaining safety and compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a hybrid role between office and project sites, proper time management is critical.

**Skills Required**:

- 3+ years of experience in landscape construction.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of landscape design, construction methods, and materials.
- Expertise in landscape construction, including hardscaping (pavers, retaining walls, water features), softscaping, and site grading.

**Responsibilities**:

- Meet with potential clients in a friendly and efficient manner, gathering required information in order to provide project specific quotes and rough design template.
- Coordinate with office, crew and clients, to ensure that the projects are completed to customer specifications.
- Supervise and provide direction to landscaping crews. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide support to ensure the team works efficiently and adheres to project timelines. This may include hands on support on the construction site. Ensure that work is being performed according to specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices. Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members follow proper safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and materials.
- Work with office to create project tracking and budget forms to ensure that projects are completed within financial constraints and products ordered correctly. As well as ensuring that any necessary permits are collected if applicable.
- Inspect work sites regularly to ensure that the quality of work is consistent with design plans and safety regulations. Perform final inspections to ensure the completed project meets all requirements.
- This is a season position, our season typically begins in March and ends mid to late November._

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
