**Job Title**: General Laborer (Operations Worker) - Plastic Recycling Facility

**Job Summary**:
Eco Green Granule Enterprises Inc. is seeking reliable, hardworking general laborers to join our team at our plastic recycling facility. The primary role of the General Laborer is to assist in the collection, sorting, processing, and granulation of plastic materials. This position will involve handling and operating various machines and equipment in the recycling process, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and performing general support tasks as required.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Material Handling and Sorting**:

- Receive and organize incoming plastic feedstock (HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE) from suppliers.
- Manually sort plastic materials according to type and quality for processing.
- Identify and remove contaminants (e.g., metal, stone) from the feedstock before it enters the processing line.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and finished products.

**Machine Operation**:

- Operate and monitor machines used in the recycling process, including cutters, shredders, granulators, extruders, and cooling systems.
- Follow proper machine setup, adjustment, and operating procedures as instructed.
- Assist with the feeder mechanism to pull cut plastic materials into the extruder.
- Operate the blower and cooling system to ensure granules are properly cooled and dried before final cutting.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment if minor issues arise and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.

**Quality Control**:

- Conduct visual inspections of processed materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Regularly check the final granules for uniformity in size, color, and quality.
- Notify the supervisor of any inconsistencies or defects in processed materials.

**Safety and Maintenance**:

- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness in the workspace, ensuring machines and surrounding areas are free of plastic waste and debris.
- Assist in regular maintenance and cleaning of machines to prevent contamination and maintain optimal performance.
- Handle all tools and equipment with care, following safe operation practices to prevent accidents.

**Inventory and Record-Keeping**:

- Assist in maintaining accurate records of incoming materials and processed granules.
- Help track inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Report daily production data to the supervisor and assist with inventory control as needed.

**General Support**:

- Support other team members in their tasks as necessary to ensure a smooth production flow.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed by the supervisor, including minor repairs, packaging, and preparing finished granules for shipment.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on safety and quality standards.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, recycling, or warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mechanical skills to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy materials for extended periods.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in a noisy, dusty, and industrial environment, with adherence to PPE requirements.

**Work Environment**:

- Work is primarily conducted in a warehouse/factory setting.
- Exposure to industrial machinery noise, dust, and variable temperatures.
