Packaging Machine Operator

**Main Duties**:
- Follows good manufacturing practices and HACCP
- inspect workstation as per checklist
- Picks and packages products as per specification
- Ensures good seals on finished product
- Rotates between other Line Packers within production area
- Sets up & changeover vertical Baggers.
- Ensures labels and production codes on all products including case codes are correct and documented.
- Monitors quality including bag seals, proper codes, and metal detection
- Reports quality or maintenance problems to Lead Hand or Supervisor
- Understands products & packaging specifications
- Attends team meetings
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Completed High School diploma or equivalent
- Team player
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a snack food or beverage industry is an asset
- Good manual dexterity
- Effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Good organizational skills
- Health and Safety focused
- Flexibility with respect to overtime, hours of work, and shift changes
