As a Kitchen Associate - Meal Prep, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations, ensuring that our meal prep process runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling meals, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This position requires a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning according to recipes and guidelines.
- Assemble meals following specific recipes and portion sizes.
- Ensure all meals meet our quality standards and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 21 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vaughan, ON L4K 4K9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Kitchen: 3 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
