Job description

Dot Furniture in Kitchener, Ontario is actively searching for a passionate, customer sales/stock associate. This role is responsible for building relationships and selling furniture in a high paced environment as well as maintaining the stock and pick up area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate positive impressions during the shopping and buying experiences by serving customers in a friendly, professional, and prompt manner.
Utilizes technology to create a streamlined and integrated sales method throughout the entire buying process.
Provides customers with complete explanation of retail services offered, procedures and policies.
Delivers prompt follow up with each sold or quoted customers.
Completion of all product knowledge/safety courses in a timely manner.
Ensuring that customers understand all features, benefits, warranty and assembly of products purchased.
Enters sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with established store policies.
Prepare/wrap/move/ assemble/disassemble product in accordance to store policies, prior to transport for customers.
Participation in general daily housekeeping, including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, cleaning etc, merchandise recovery, and creation of labels.

Skills and Qualifications:
1 years sales experience is required.
Technologically proficient is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written) and customer service skills.
Exceptional sales skills and a commitment to sales objectives.
Excellent problem-solving skills in order to resolve customer issues.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
Flexible schedule including the ability to work weekends.
Ability to lift over 25lbs independently and be comfortable assembling/disassembling product
Visual merchandising skills, contributes to a positive and inclusive environment.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-25 per week

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour
