Server (Full Time)

The Granite Club is looking for a full-time Server to create a positive dining experience through excellent food and beverage knowledge and the ability to adhere to the standards of service. Servers are required to act as ambassadors and representatives of the Club as a whole as Member perceptions of the Club in general are influenced by the front-line staff they encounter
- This is a unionized position with an hourly rate of $20.85*

Primary Responsibilities
- Create a positive Member experience through interaction and adherence to steps of service.
- Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage items to make recommendations.
- Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other Club functions and services.
- Ensure accuracy when entering information into the POS system.
- Monitor food quality and presentation standards.
- Ensure Members are satisfied with their food, beverages and service.
- Respond promptly and courteously to any requests or concerns.
- Able to successfully solve problems through good decision making.
- Monitor cleanliness of section and ensure it is presentable before, during and after service.
- Complete all duties efficiently and correctly.
- Actively demonstrate teamwork, sincerity, helpfulness and courtesy.
- Report all equipment and maintenance issues to a Restaurant Manager.
- Follow all fire and emergency procedures.
- Knowledgeable about the employee handbook and follow all the policies.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 education and 2 years related work experience.
- Good working knowledge of English (Written and Verbal)
- Smart Serve Certification.
- Food, wine, beer and cocktail knowledge is required.
- Excellent Communication and Social Skills.
- Emotionally Mature, Respectful and Sincere.
- Well Groomed and Courteous.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and remain calm under pressure.
- Understanding all policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and specifications.

Work Schedule
- Must be available to work weekends, weekdays and/or holidays, AM and PM.
