Do you enjoy working with your hands and take pride in preparing traditional, handmade food? Our growing pierogi company is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented **Prep Cook** to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and values quality, tradition, and teamwork.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Make and roll dough for pierogi
- Prepare and portion traditional and plant-based fillings
- Fold and shape pierogi with consistency and care
- Roll and assemble cabbage rolls
- Prepare soups and other specialty items as needed
- Perform general food prep duties (chopping, peeling, portioning, etc.)
- Clean and sanitize equipment and tools throughout the shift
- Maintain clean and organized workstations
- Wash dishes, pots, and utensils
- Assist with inventory rotation and ingredient storage
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
**Requirements**:
- Prior kitchen or prep cook experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a small team
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Valid Food Handler Certificate or willingness to obtain one

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
