**Warehouse/Driver Job Description & Requirements**

**Preparing Orders**
- Cuts and assembly of pick ticket items with accuracy
- Assist installers with loading orders into their vehicles
- Assisting customers with material pickups
- Signing out and receiving safety equipment ie: negative air units, hepa vacs etc.

**Deliveries and Pick-ups**
- Picking up items from suppliers and taking them to site or bringing back to warehouse as required and noted in the pickup request book
- Delivering materials to jobsites and ensuring they are taken to designate storage location on site according to the instructions on the delivery request sheet
- Loading and unloading the trucks with care and accuracy
- Use of a pallet jack & operation of a forklift (certificate required)
- Must be able to regularly lift 50+ lbs.

**Shipping/Receiving**
- Checking accuracy of quantity, style and color of items shipped & received
- Updating JobRunner with items received within 24 hrs
- Following up on PO Notes regarding materials when received
- Accepting, preparing and communicating completeness of courier and delivery transactions
- Delivery storage & distribution
- Communication of when expected items will not be/have not arrived in the posted timeframe to sales staff
- Contacting suppliers to confirm order details

**Warehouse & Yard**
- Maintain a clean and tidy work space
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the building and yard
- Preparing a Daily Hazard Assessment each morning prior to starting work
- Ensuring received samples get to indicated staff or stored in sample room if they are for display purposes
- Ensure the yard and walks are kept free of garbage, snow and ice
- Ensuring details that can affect the success of a job are taken care of
- Other duties as needed

**Driving**
- Drive delivery vehicles - 3 tonne and 5 tonne straight trucks
- Perform a Pre-Trip Checklist on each vehicle prior to driving it each day
- Ensure required vehicle maintenance is brought to the attention of the warehouse manager to be scheduled
- Drive in a safe, preventative manner appropriate for the conditions
- Secure cargo effectively to prevent damage and loss related to shifting
- Ensure you have a traffic route and instructions prepared prior to departure
- Ensure departure time and travel time are planned to achieve requested ETA
- Ensure signature is obtained for acceptance of delivered items, and check accuracy of products and quantities delivered
- Handle all materials with care and in a safe manner
- Ensure all communications while enroute follow all Alberta Laws and are managed through hands-free devices when the vehicle is in motion. All non-hands-free communication must be conducted while the vehicle is safely parked
- Maintain a clear or low-impact driving record
- Provide a driver abstract
- Provide a Claims History Report Letter from previous employers (5 years)

**Safety**
- Work safely and carefully and ask for help when required to ensure all tasks are completed without incident
- Participate in hazard assessment process
- Correct unsafe conditions.
- Participate in weekly toolbox meetings
- Participate in Quarterly Safety Meetings
- Follow all Safety policies and procedures
- Wear all appropriate PPE for the given task
- Report all Near Misses, Injuries and Incidents to management
- Participate in all required training
- Comply with rules and legislation.
- Make suggestions for improvement.
- Set a good example.
- Operate equipment & vehicles in a safe manner.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Contribute to a positive working environment that protects and maintains the physical, psychological and social well-being of employees.

**Requirements**:

- Experience driving similar vehicle types
- Provide a driver abstract
- Provide a Claims History Report Letter from previous employers (5 years)
- Forklift Certificate an Asset

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
