Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator

**Role**:
As Bookeeper and Payroll Administrator, you will support the President in all manner of financial operations. From managing accounting functions to processing payroll, this role will be varied and interesting and provide you with the opportunity to use your finance and payroll skills.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Finance**_
- Manage company’s accounting operations
- General financial support including:
- reviewing and processing employee expense claims,
- preparing and issuing invoices and cheques,
- processing receivables and deposits,
- bank reconciliations
- Assisting the President with annual budget and forecasting
- Supporting the external accountant in year-end closing
- Supporting the company with other tasks as needed
- **Payroll**_
- Handle payroll functions, ensuring correct employee payments and tax deductions
- Completing weekly payroll for review and submission to payroll provider
- Payment of government remittances (HST, EHT, WSIB)
- Preparing and processing Records of Employment and T4’s
- Reconciling payroll and benefits program
- Responding to employee questions about payroll
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a financial support role and payroll administration
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online
- Experience with Ceridian, ADP or another payroll provider
- Fluent in English, strong written and communications skills
- Bilingualism is an asset

- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
