Sarens Canada is currently recruiting for a Planner/Dispatcher based out of our Cambridge office. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the VP Eastern Canada. As a Planner/Dispatcher you will be tasked with ensuring the team is provided with exceptional customer service including organizing and dispatching various transportation projects in accordance with Sarens policies. Specifically, you will be tasked with: - Organizes labour and equipment to meet load delivery schedules - Works with maintenance department to ensure fleet equipment meets legal requirements and maintenance schedules are maintained - Prepares load documentation folders - Provides professional and ongoing communication with clients - Assists crews when on-the-road challenges arise - Ensures appropriate equipment is ready for dispatch when required - Follows up with sub-contractors to ensure accurate billing and coordination of services - Collects all required data and creates a proper work plan - Communicates with internal departments as required - Monitors the budget, daily cost and revenue surveillance during execution of loads; advises Supervision/Management of significant changes - Prepares documents to be submitted to invoicing, and monitors third party invoices - Provides administrative support to the Team as required. - Provides on call services and is prepared to dispatch drivers and operators as required - Able to work flexible hours as required - Sarens Canada is looking for a career-orientated individual who can quickly adapt to a changing environment. As a Planner/Dispatcher you will possess the following: - 5+ years' experience in a dispatch role is an asset - Proficient with Excel - Understanding of permitting and dispatching overweight and over-dimensional transporting in Eastern Canada would be considered an asset. - Experience in Heavy Haul would be an asset - Familiarity with transportation equipment and carrying capacities - Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines - Strong computer skills, including dispatch software and Microsoft office - Customer-focused - Motivated, solution-driven and entrepreneurial - Organized - Disciplined and committed to quality - Flexible - Loyal, honest and sincere We offer a competitive salary, based on experience, and full employer-paid health and wellness benefits.
