Pro Shop Attendant

**Position Details** In this seasonal role, you will assist the Director of Golf Operations in the golf operations related to the pro shop, back shop, golf carts and practice range, to promote an exceptional "golf experience" for our members and guests. **Responsibilities Include**: - Support seasonal staff engaged in pro shop, back shop, practice range and golf cart operations. - Ensure the success of pro shop sales and assist customers with pro shop items. Assist in any way needed for the operation of the shop, including answering phones, operating POS, managing tee times, enforcing the dress code and selling merchandise. - Assist in ensuring the physical condition of the pro shop, back shop and cart storage for overall cleanliness and proper working conditions of the facility. Assist in the documentation of movement and disbursement of inventory, including receiving and checking incoming merchandise. - Conduct tours, inform and enthuse potential golfers of FireRock Golf Club. Assist in the development and implementation of promotions to encourage and promote golf course play and be available to assist with all tournaments. - Manage all cart operation requirements including Fleet carts for repair and maintenance, in cooperation with the Golf Cart Maintenance Technician. Maintain up to date and accurate service and information records for Fleet Carts, the Shuttles, Range Picker Unit and power washer. **Experience & Qualifications**: - Strong customer service skills. - Experience in pro shop organization and management, as well as tournament and league organization preferred. - Knowledge of golf rules, back shop services, golf cart maintenance and driving range operations. - Knowledge of golf apparel and equipment. - Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. - Must be available to work flexible hours to meet operational needs. - Knowledge of P.O.S. and Microsoft Office Suite would be an asset. **Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal Contract length: 5 months Pay: $16.55-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week Shift: - 8 hour shift Work days: * - Weekends as needed **Education**: - Secondary School (preferred) **Experience**: - sales: 1 year (preferred) - Customer service: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Smart Serve (required) Work Location: In person **Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal Pay: $16.55-$22.56 per hour **Benefits**: - Flexible schedule - On-site parking Flexible language requirement: - French not required Shift: - Afternoon shift - Morning shift Work days: - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
