**About Hoover Mechanical**

Hoover Mechanical is a 25-year Calgary commercial contractor known for consistent project flow and promoting from within. We run long-term commercial and multi-residential jobs across Calgary and the surrounding areas and invest in apprentices — including our internal “**Hoover School**” mentoring and support for SAIT enrolment.

**Role**: Multiple full-time Labourers and 1st year apprentices needed. Canmore site.

**PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST EITHER LIVE IN OR AROUND CANMORE OR BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO CANMORE AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE**

- Regular schedule**:7:00 AM — 3:15 PM**, Monday-Friday. (OT site dependent)
- **Overtime paid after 8 hours/day** (no hour-banking).

**What you’ll do**
- Install, assemble and test piping and systems on commercial/multi-residential sites.
- Read and work from blueprints and layout sketches.
- Lift and position equipment (expect regular 25 kg+ lifts).
- Work safely at heights and in confined spaces when needed.
- Coordinate with foremen and other trades to meet schedule and quality targets.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to **legally work in Canada in the trades** - _proof will be requested_.
- Personal hand tools.
- Comfortable working on ladders and standing for full shifts.
- Willingness to follow safety policies and use PPE.
- Most importantly, willing to learn and progress

**Nice-to-have tickets / certifications / others**:

- Reliable transportation to site.
- WHMIS & CSTS 2020.
- Fall Protection.
- First Aid.
- Confined Space.
- Scissor/Boom lifts
- Telehandler.
