**Salary**: $26.10 to $31.46, based on experience
**Shift**: Afternoon shift - Mon to Thur, various times available.
**About the Role**:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Sheet Metal Fabricator** to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and prepping sheet metal products using a variety of tools and machinery. You’ll work closely with engineers and production leads to ensure high-quality output that meets project specifications.
**Who are we?**
CODE ELECTRIC is a B.C. owned, CSA Manufacturer with over 46 years of experience in metal electrical enclosures, power distribution kiosks, custom wired products, custom metal fabrication, cable tray, and commercial metal planters. Our location enjoys beautiful walking trails by the Pitt River, big box stores, transit route convenience, fitness centers, and restaurants, all within walking distance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery
- Experience with saws and iron workers an asset
- Assemble components using riveting and fastening techniques
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
- Unloading material skids and sorting material types
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 3 years experience in metal fabrication
- Preference will be given to those with Shearing experience
- Proven experience as a sheet metal fabricator or similar role
- Proficiency in operating fabrication tools and machinery
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Capable of using calipers, micrometres and other measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
- Welding experience (preferred but not required)
- Forklift experience and certification is required for this position
- Competent English skills required
