**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Landscaping maintenance workers perform work to assist in the construction of landscapes and related structures, and to maintain lawns, gardens/flower beds and other landscaped areas of commercial and residential properties.
- Spread top soil, lay sod, plant flowers/other plant material, shrubs & trees and perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures
- Cut grass, rake, fertilize lawns, weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees and perform other maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor
- Operate and maintain power mowers, trimmers, hedgers and other landscape maintenance equipment
- Ability to safely operate required equipment & tools for snow clearing in winter season
- Snow removal operations including hand shoveling, spreading ice melter, the use of gas-powered backpack blowers, and snow blowers

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma
- Ability to do physical labour and other strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to work in all weather
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments

**PREFERRED SKILLS**
- Ability to cut grass
- Rake and collect refuse
- Weed, prune and trim trees and plants
- Plant flowers and shrubs
- Remove litter and garbage

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
