- We are currently looking for a dynamic, creative and motivated person to fill a Financial Analyst position.- Under the supervision of the Business Units Reporting Director, you will work in the corporate team at EXFO's head office where the financial and internal management information as well as the financial reports required by the competent authorities in matters of public financial information are produced.- More specifically, the Financial Analyst will:
- Support his supervisor in the execution of the strategy of financial partners with senior management in relation to the monthly financial analysis of budget monitoring;- o Produce monthly financial performance reports and analysis to be submited to the Vice-President - Finance and management staff.- o Produce reports used for the monthly analysis of the differences between actual results and the budget for all Vice-Presidents, the Divisional General Manager and the President - General Manager;- o Produce a dashboard for the Vice-President - Finance for all major budget variances, and provide explanations supporting these variances;- o Colaborate to improve actual procedures in place, reports and develope new ones as well as analysis whenever requested.- o Follow up with the people involved when changes in accounting treatments are necessary;- Act as a financial partner with certain members of senior management;- o Identify, analyze and explain budget variances and propose corrective actions when necessary;- o Present and comment on the monthly dashboards;- Act as a specialist in the budget process, more specifically participate and assist his superior in the following tasks:
- o Planning the stages of the process;- o Divisional financial analysis preliminary to the budget process;- o Preparation of budget envelopes;- o Preparation of the presentation of the budget to the Board of Directors including the balance sheet, the consolidated income statement and the forecast cash flow;- Participate in the evolution of management systems supporting budgeting and financial analysis.- If necessary, the Financial Analyst will perform any other related task that may fall under this job.- Technical skills:
- Knowledge of computers (especially Excel) and strong interest in working with various integrated management software packages (mainly SAP, BPC and Power BI);- Knowledge of multi-currency and international multi-site context;- Soft Skills:
- Very good capacity for analysis and synthesis;- Autonomy and initiative;- Professional judgment;- Respect of deadlines and budgets;- Ability to work in a team.- Requirements:
- University degree in accounting with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience, in a firm or in a company, professional title CPA or CFA an asset;- Strong interest in interfaces between different corporate software;-
