We are looking for a dynamic and talented Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at Muir, a unique luxury hotel located on the beautiful waterfront of Halifax Reporting to the Hotel Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for keeping our hotel in pristine shape, presenting the property in a first-class manner, and ensuring that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

**As the Hotel Maintenance Technician, you’ll get to**:

- Perform minor maintenance work and repairs around the building
- Action maintenance tickets which are submitted
- Perform minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems repairs
- Coordinate with third party repair specialists based on building needs
- Ensure cleanliness of the building is upkept
- Report and action any safety concerns proactively
- Implement industry and legislated safety processes
- Follow instructions and implement company practices and procedures while maintaining open and fluid communication with team members.

**What we’re looking for**:

- 2 + years experience working within commercial or residential building maintenance.
- A positive attitude paired with a passion for delivering the highest level of customer service is a must.
- Experience with minor maintenance work and repairs and familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems is considered an asset.
- Have a reliable vehicle to travel to and between buildings in Dartmouth and Halifax.
