We are looking for a Training and Shop Coordinator for our Cambridge, Ontario facility.

**JOB PURPOSE**

Assist the Training and Weld Lab Supervisor with expediting welding documents, training standard documents, labour reporting, scheduling of new hire orientation and vendor training requirements. Maintenance of the Global Training System database (GTS) for all hourly employee matrices.

To assist Shop Supervision in timekeeping and labour upload of shop employee hours. Day-to-day time and attendance management of shop floor employees, including: processing of time and attendance, absenteeism, input of overtime / overtime refusals hours, distribution of reports to enable running of the shop as per the Collective Agreement.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Ensure employees' training records are current and up to date**:

- Prepare training documents for all hourly shop employees.
- Communicate training requirements and assist with training session preparation.
- Mark/grade all hourly shop verification of knowledge documentation.
- Ensure new employees complete necessary training matrices on time and on schedule.
- Run training requirement reports weekly and schedule the required training.
- Upload hourly employee training and licensing documents into GTS database as required.
- Edit the GTS database to support employee job task changes.
- Assist with other coordinating needs to support manufacturing daily requirements. (i.e., tool box talks).

**Variance Corrections**:

- Advise shop supervision of errors in a timely manner.
- Track labour upload issues to ensure corrections are timely.
- Upload labour once corrections have been provided.
- Escalate any issues that have not been addressed to the Manger of Operations for a timely resolution.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**
- Diploma in administration and 2+ years of experience required.
- 1 to 2 years in an office setting working at a quick pace with numbers.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proven problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to details.
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- Able to influentially communicate requirements.
- Multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills.
